Once again I’ve stricken this blog with an unannounced extended absence, but this time it’s for good reason — not only have I graduated from university, but I’ve made my transition to a new job in the process.
While, for the time being, I’ll refrain from revealing my new employer I can tell you it’s a tech-related position in the education industry. The new position allows me to work hands on with faculty at a world-renowned educational institution, but also to explore some of the emerging technologies that have captivated my personal interests in recent times.
One of the topics that I’ve listed in the “About” section of the blog, yet never really written much about, is Second Life. With the ridiculous amount of hype surrounding the virtual world, I’ve never felt much of a need to contribute to a conversation that I felt was over-saturating the blogosphere in the first place. Well, that time may be coming to an end as there is a very real possibility that this new position may entail working directly in the Second Life environment.
So, in short, I’m back. In length, the conversation continues with the possibility of new topics in the very near future…stay tuned.
