I’ve been hanging out in Second Life off-and-on now for awhile and I’ve of course been listening to the conversation about the ultra-hyped virtual world and I’ve gotta say that I see the potential behind the hype. The one problem that I consistently have, however, is that I can never find anything interesting to do in-world.
Awhile back I attended the Crayonville launch after-party, and for awhile following had some fantastic interactions with individuals from all over the globe, discussing virtual worlds, social media, new marketing, etc. However, now I find the island empty most times I check in and don’t have the first clue where to find out about other interesting events.
